Life in the New Republic
Star Wars: A New Hope was released when I was 19 years old & I've been hooked on the series ever since. What I have found in the intervening years is that the Jedi philosophies of Star Wars have become a useful analogy for my life, particularly since my son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome- hence "Life in the New Republic".

It's good to see a kid who's so contented!
I just bought the seventh Harry Potter. The checkout girl told me that it's great and that she already read the whole book while on a road trip with her family over the weekend.
No surprise, happily! Is he already rereading the book?
Thanks friends.
I should have titled the picture "The Boy Who Lived & The Boy Who Read" :)
He's just about halfway through it now... very proud of his bookmark being ahead of dad's (I finished it around 3:00 am Sunday morning).
After dinner last night, when Charlie suggested they spend some time reading together, Brendan told him that he'd like to do it himself, it that was ok... It was :)
He's just as aware as we are that this time, things are different, & he's very pleased!
Wow, you are all sharing a book? That sounds like some serious family coordination. :) Matt is reading our copy right now and thankfully he is avoiding giving me any spoilers.
Hey! I think I was in that same position with my Harry Potter book about a week ago! What a great read!
Take care,
Kristin
